Welcome to the new blog for the toddler group. Whether you're a regular or a possible newcomer, hopefully this is a way to keep in touch. We also have a Facebook page, so if you use Facebook, do go over and check it out. Probably we'll put the same notices.
At the meeting last week, Deirdre informed us that as warned, she is no longer eligible to stand on the committee. Several other members are also retiring, due to moves, children growing up, jobs... and so a new committee was required. I (perhaps foolishly) agreed to stand as Chair, with Janet as Treasurer, and Lisa as Secretary. Lisa is hoping this will be temporary, so if anyone else would like to take on the Secretary role, please come and meet us to discuss it. There are also several unnamed positions on the committee available, with useful jobs including purchasing, organising events, fundraising and so on. So we really do need more people to help.
Today was the last day of the summer term, and a small group of children from 8 months to 4 years enjoyed their party. Grapes and melon, biscuits, crisps and a chocolate treat to finish... a lovely party snack after plenty of zooming round the hall in the cars.
